Laguna Beach PD Arrest Suspected Shooter
“On April 20, 2019, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Orange County Sheriff’s Department (OCSD) deputies were called to a residential complex in Aliso Viejo regarding multiple subjects who were shot at by an unknown male in a truck. The suspect fired approximately three to four gunshots, but none of the subjects were hit.” (Source)
Laguna Beach Police Department called in to assist in the location and apprehension of the suspect. Suspect’s last known address was Laguna Beach.
Laguna Beach Police officers found the suspect’s vehicle, as described by witnesses, at this address. Laguna Beach police officers observing the residence caught the suspect when he attempted to flee. He was carrying a gun.
Laguna Beach officers were able to apprehend the suspect without incident. Suspect booked and charged with attempted murder and illegal discharge of a firearm with negligence. The suspect is 23 year-old Zachary James McGuinness, 23, of Laguna Beach
