PMMC Giving Tuesday Now May 5

Greetings!

Pacific Marine Mammal Center is proud to participate in #GivingTuesdayNow. It is an opportunity for us to stand amongst a network of leaders, partners, communities and generous individuals dedicated to unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.

#GivingTuesdayNow is a new global day of giving and unity that will take place on May 5, 2020 – in addition to the regularly scheduled Dec 1, 2020 #GivingTuesday – as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19. The day is designed to drive an influx of generosity, citizen engagement, business and philanthropy activation, and support for communities and nonprofits around the world.

Regardless of current conditions, our marine mammal hospital operations are ESSENTIAL and have to continue. Responses to injured, sick, and starving marine mammals have not stopped. We are committed to GIVING these animals a second chance at life.

“We remain steadfast in our mission of rescuing and caring for marine mammals, no matter how our lives have been altered and changed. With various revenue streams shut down, we still rely heavily on the generosity of our supporters to help us care for our patients and those new ones that are coming ashore in need of medical attention almost daily. I feel people are seeking a way to reach out and help others. In these uncertain times, a small act of kindness can make a huge impact in the lives of our patients that we are caring for day in and day out.” — Michele Hunter, Director of Animal Care, PMMC

So join us – this Tuesday, May 5th in support of #GivingTuesdayNOW and be inspired to do good!

Thank you!Team PMMC
